Our Story

How it all began…

Michelle and Michael met in 2006 at Boston University. Michelle’s first memory of Michael is of running into him on the way to a Halloween party on the T in Boston. Michael was decked out in a detailed Albus Dumbledore costume complete with full robe, wand, and fake beard and Michelle was dressed as Amelia Earhart. Michael first recalls Michelle from a few weeks earlier, having spotted her from across the room at a meeting of their college theater troupe, Wandering Minds.

Later that year, they were both cast in a radio play version of It’s a Wonderful Life. Although each was frequently able to see the other perform, the two did not end up sharing any scenes together. Though they would occasionally run into each other at school and theater events, and became official Facebook friends, Michelle and Michael remained "just friends'' throughout the rest of their time in Boston.

One night, Michelle spotted Michael across the room, this time at an improv comedy show in New York City. When he saw her and came to say hello, she was surprised he remembered her name; they were both surprised when they discovered they had enrolled in the same improv class together. The pair started dating later that year, in 2009; moved in together in 2011; became engaged in October 2020; and are getting married in 2022! After three apartments, several career changes, and many adventures, Michelle and Michael are ready to begin their new life together as a married couple and can’t wait to share their big day with you!
